Meetings and Schools
The IUCr MaThCryst commission organizes, in cooperation with other IUCr commissions, Satellite Conferences and Schools on Crystallography. School are of two types:
- general schools, targetting young scientists (PhD students, post-docs) or researchers from different fields who need to deepen their formation in mathematical and theoretical crystallography;
- thematic schools, devoted to introducing more specific and advanced topics.
We plan to alternate the two types of schools, on the basis of the availability of the lecturers.

- Topological Crystal Chemistry: Theory and Practice - Irreducible representations of space groups, Summer Schools, 21 June - 2 July 2010, Nancy (France)
- Satellite Conference, ECM-26, 27-29 August 2010, Darmstadt (Germany)
- International School on Mathematical and Theoretical Crystallography, Puebla (Mexico) 22 - 27 November 2010 and Montevideo (Uruguay) 29 November - 3 December 2010.

- Thematic school on Graph theory in crystallography and crystal chemsitry
- Workshop on generalised non-euclidean crystallography, tilings, entanglement, nets and patterns (Oceania)
